“In my recovery journey I’ve noticed that some people seem to be able to deal with their struggles simply by reading scripture and praying, while others spend their whole lives beaten down even though they, too, try these things. It makes it seem like God is not very fair. If he really loves all of us the same, why is the recovery journey so much harder for some of us than others?”
