“My sister was raped when she was younger and soon after developed an eating disorder, which she still has now, ten years later. She has tried different forms of therapy, counseling, etc. for her eating disorder and gotten better from time to time, but she still struggles with flashbacks from the event, which she says trigger her anorexia (and cutting). I’m assuming this is a form of post-traumatic stress disorder. Is that right? If so, what can she do?”
